I trained as a Textile Designer at Winchester School of Art and have worked for many years in the fashion industry specialising in design trends and colour forecasting.

I love colour and this influences all my work from the smallest landscapes to the largest abstracts.

Work method

I have always found it difficult to categorize my work. Having trained as a textile designer I have developed a method of working which enables me to work in a free spontaneous way. Using a blank silk screen and painting through the mesh I print the first level of a picture. This is always too flat so I will then build up the imagery by overprinting , drawing into , scraping away or simply painting over until I am happy with the results. The work is built up in series and each piece is unique. With this method of working I tend to work to set sizes 22 x 18cms in the Atmospheric collections, 28cm x 28cms for the Landscapes and smaller Abstracts , 50cm x 50cms in the larger Abstracts and most of the Corporate work is 58cm x 80cms.
As a rough price guide the work on paper starts at £105 and goes up to £500 depending on the complexity of the piece.
